Flight of the Conchords Aid Kids

On August 24th, Flight of the Conchords--"New Zealand's 4th most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo"--released a video containing their newest song "Feel Inside (And Stuff Like That)" in honor of New Zealand's Red Nose Day to Cure Kids. The video begins with a scene reminiscent of the duo's hit HBO series (Flight of the Conchords) between Conchords Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, and their fictional manager Murray (Rhys Darby). After accepting the invitation to record a song for the charity Cure Kids, Bret and Jemaine interview various children (ala Kids Say The Darndest Things) to educate themselves on what issues children find most pressing.

The song itself begins around 10:15 of the video. Various other kiwi artists join Flight of the Conchords to sing the simultaneously absurd and heartfelt song. TV3 in New Zealand identifies the other contributors:
"Dave Dobbyn, Brooke Fraser, Boh Runga, Sam Scott, Luke Buda, Savage, Young Sid, Tyree, Deach, PNC, Zowie, Ruby Frost, Kids of 88, Rikki Morris, Moana Maniapoto, Nathan King, Maitereya, Victoria Girling-Butcher, Elizabeth Marvelly, Peter Urlich and Cherie Mathieson."
The song can be purchased from iTunes for $1.79 with all proceeds going to Cure Kids New Zealand. Cure Kids is a charity dedicated to finding cures for illnesses that threaten children.

Flight of the Conchords began a tour in June, their first in quite a while. The group has yet to announce any other future projects. It should be noted that Bret will be reprising his role as Figwit in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.
